Water Project's mid-year update
The School Water Project team is proud to announce that as of August 1st 2026, we have finished installations of purified and refrigerated water systems in 45 Mazatlan schools, representing 12,300 students!
Additionally, we have completed installations at the Barron Clinic, Pozole Community Center and the relief container at the Mazatlan's General Hospital, working alongside the Hospital Mission.

Our project began by visiting 24 underprivileged Mazatlán schools in March of 2024 to collect information about the school. We set up a functional office and necessary equipment, determining the components needed and setting up our supply chain.
Interviews then began for our team, orders were placed for supplies, and marketing efforts began to promote the idea to the communities in Mazatlán. Accounting, installation procedures, maintenance checklists, water tests, virtually everything one would need to start a business was set in motion.
2026 began with development of a grant request through Rotary clubs from all corners of North America, if we are successful in that endeavor, it will help fund a small but important portion of our continued needs of more than 300 fountains.

The current cost of our complete system fully installed at a school is $2,807 USD / $3857 CDN. We are continuously searching for the best product/pricing to deliver quality systems with longevity and ease of maintenance. We also do dedications at schools in memorial to lost loved ones or corporate sponsorships.
Donation funding options include full systems, partial systems, spare filters, and monthly recurring amounts and these are all tax-deductible through our 501-C-3 status and Canadian CMMS organization. Our expectation is a 10-year funding program and continued support of the schools for many years to come.
