VINEYARD CHILD
Through the Vineyard Child Sponsorship (VCS) Program you can forever change the life of an underprivileged child in Mexico.
The Vineyard Child Sponsorship Program is administered through our Community Centers of Hope. It is designed to feed the whole child. It provides food for their bodies, minds and spirits. By feeding their mind, body, and spirit, we are helping to break the cycle of poverty that plagues these families.
We feed their mind by working with the parents to encourage school attendance and participation. We feed their body by providing access to 48 healthy meals each year. We feed their spirit by showing the children they are loved and valued by God and by people.

SPENDING FUNDS
Our first priority is always the Sponsored Child. We assure children receive the same benefits regardless of inflation, currency fluctuations or devaluations. In other words, if the dollar goes down, we won’t decrease any of the benefits (like reduce the amount of school supplies) to make up the difference. If the dollar goes up in value, it provides more money for the overall program which can be used for the other priorities listed below. Big swings either way may happen during the course of a year.
Our second priority is to feed the Moms who bring children and to feed any unsponsored children who come. We have a separate feeding fund that is used to feed unsponsored children, but it has run out from time to time.

Our third priority is to better maintain the Community Centers and the program overall
- General Maintenance (painting, repairs, etc.)
- Unfinished construction (bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
- Add-on classrooms and other construction needs
- Kitchens (pots and pans, stoves, propane tanks, refrigerators, etc.)
- Children’s teaching materials, sound systems, video projectors, etc.
Our final priority are other program maintenance costs such as software/programming for the online website, as well as hardware upgrades that may be needed. Costs also include utilities, property taxes (churches are not exempt in Mexico), and purchasing/maintaining office equipment and vehicles used in the program.
All expenses are covered on the basis of Priority. We start with our first priority, then move down the list, covering what we can with the available funds. Extra monies that come in will go where needed, based on these priorities.
